Blencathra was founded in 1999 by sisters Annabel and Nanette Rigg.
Annabel Rigg is an experienced Project and Operations Manager having worked within blue chip companies including Hamlyn and BBC (within Radio Sport production) and with the Capita Group and Cyril Sweett – working for eight years within property/construction project management divisions with particular focus on systems, facilities, event and office management. Annabel’s key skills are her administrative and organisational skills, event management, research and her understanding of systems and management structures.
Nanette Rigg started her career as an intellectual property barrister moving into the entertainment business. During her career Nanette has held senior positions at PolyGram (now Universal), ITV, Thorn EMI Screen Entertainment, Vestron Pictures and on secondment at the Department of Trade and Industry. She set up British Music Rights (now UK Music) has gone on to provide strategic creative consultancy for a number of high profile organisations including the GLA and Mayor of London.
Annabel and Nanette founded the not-for-profit company City Showcase Limited. City Showcase is London’s premier year round festival that helps develop new and emerging creative talent and nurtures cross-promotional opportunities across the creative industries.
