We have had the opportunity to work with a number of organisations to build their foundations through strategy and business planning and helped them organise themselves and minimise the cost of sales prior to M&A activity.

Chorion plc

Working with Chorion as a so called ‘company doctor’ reshaping its internal rights management system, contracts and communications for the licensing of rights; retrain its staff and helping it prepare for an MBO.  Working with them to deliver demonstrable increased value for equity release. 

GLA and the Office of the Mayor of London 2002 – 2005.

Working with Ken Livingstone, The Mayor of London, to advise on the economic growth of the creative industries in London. Strategic planning and delivery of key identifiably targets underpinned by economic data and future analysis, including a programme of events.

Islington Borough Council

Carried out a review of Islington’s Film Services, which is responsible for the co-ordination and promotion of locations within the Borough.  The role required a SWOT analysis including its systems, marketing, customer satisfaction and effectiveness.   

Neil Stewart Associates/The Informa Group

Delivering a creative industries conference for the UK – Altogether Now, designed to promote engagement and synergy between creative industries include music, games, TV, film, Fashion and design.

Performing Arts Labs 

Working with The Performing Arts Lab to develop and deliver a series of digital Labs with a view to seeking additional partners and investment in the on-line sector. 

REACT Music 

The UK’s leading electronic and dance music label to 2003. Blencathra worked with REACT to develop its business plan and introduce them to strategic partners for international distribution and growth. 

The Royal Parks

 Working with The Royal Parks Authority to analyse their systems, techniques, agreements, marketing, pricing structure, scheduling and capacity for the use of The Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St. James’s Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, Bushy Park, Greenwich Park and Richmond Park) as film locations.  Delivering new co-ordinated systems and agreements, delivering new on-line promotional materials and training Parks’ staff. 


Working with games industry trade association to plan, organise and deliver a conference designed to draw greater link between the music industry and the games industry including sponsorship and networking. Delivering demonstrable opportunities for increased trade between the games and music industries.

United Business Media – Music Week/dotmusic

Working with then United Business Media owned Music Week to analyse its on-line offering ‘dotmusic’. Ensuring that the communications and agreements in respect of the content on dotmusic were cleared and the rights were filed and logged. Creating a corporate rights database and rights management system and training staff in intellectual property, data management and on-line delivery. Delivering demonstrable value in order to assist UBM sell ‘dotmusic’ to BT.
